Thank you so much for ordering cookies from my page (or making a donation!) and providing nourishing meals for Coloradans deeply impacted by the pandemic due to preexisting life-threatening health conditions.
With help from thousands of community members, Project Angel Heart prepares and delivers delicious, medically tailored meals -- free of charge -- to Coloradans living with life-threatening illnesses, such as HIV/AIDS, cancer, kidney failure, COPD, and MS. Our meals are designed to improve their quality of life and the effectiveness of their medical treatments.
I work in the Client Services department at Project Angel Heart, meaning I hear from our clients every day about the impact our meals have on their health and overall well-being. Your donation goes directly to support an operation of incredible staff and volunteers who care deeply about preparing and delivering meals to these clients, and I genuinely couldn't be more grateful for your support!
Thanks for helping, and have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!
Each week, we prepare and deliver nutritious meals for more than 1,300 individuals in Denver and Colorado Springs. In total, we will deliver meals to more than 3,250 neighbors in need in 2020.
Project Angel Heart's meals are made from scratch using fresh ingredients. Our registered dietitian reviews menus to ensure they complement each individual's medical treatment plan, and our chefs modify meals to accommodate for clients' allergies, religious preferences, and texture needs.
More than 9,100 volunteers give their time and talent to Project Angel Heart each year, and 18 percent of our food is donated.
Volunteers drive 84,000+ miles per year, in their own vehicles, to deliver meals to clients.
