Frequently Asked Questions

Cookie Fundraiser Questions

Cookies in the Sky | Cookies and Coffee | Project Angel HearWhat do I have to do to be a cookie fundraiser?

It's easy! Just click the "Raise Funds" option in the menu above to sign up as an individual cookie fundraiser or start a cookie team. Then get the word out to friends, co-workers, and family. You can post a personal message on your cookie webpage, print out flyers and marketing materials, send reminder emails, and link to Facebook and Twitter, all from your Resource Center. Get there by logging in and clicking on the Cookie Headquarters button in the top right corner of this page.

What is the minimum number of cookie sets I need to sell?

There's no minimum, since EVERY box of three cookies sold helps us achieve our mission of delivering nutritious meals, at no cost, for those living with life-threatening illnesses. In fact, because 100 percent of the net proceeds benefit Project Angel Heart, every cookie set purchased allows us to provide more than three medically tailored meals for someone in need! However, we encourage you to set a goal to raise at least $300, either through cookie orders or donations. This amount will allow us to feed a client for an entire month... and you'll earn an official Project Angel Heart t-shirt! You can update your goal on your personal fundraising page.

Do I get anything for being a cookie fundraiser?

  • Raise $60 - Get an Anthony's Pizza and Pasta free pizza coupon
  • Raise $300 - Get a Cookie in the Sky t-shirt plus the free pizza coupon
  • Raise $600 - Get fun Project Angel Heart socks plus the t-shirt plus the free pizza coupon
  • Raise $1,200+ - Get a Project Angel Heart beanie plus the socks, t-shirt, and free pizza coupon

Can I join an existing team if I've already registered as an individual cookie fundraiser?

Yes. To join an existing team, log into your Resource Center. On the right side of your screen, you'll see a list of actions you can take. Click on "Change Team Membership" at the end of the list and search for the team you wish to join.

Can I send emails about Cookie in the Sky through my regular email account?

Yes, you can. However, there are benefits to using the email system in your Resource Center. Our system allows you to track responses to your emails, and the "group" feature allows you to send group emails to people who have ordered or donated this year, people who participated in Pie in the Sky in the past, or people who have not yet donated to Project Angel Heart. You can easily import email addresses from other email systems.

I love the pre-written emails, but can I customize them to sound more like me?

Of course. We encourage this! Use as little or as much of the pre-written text as you like. The people you email are more likely to respond to a message that sounds like it's from you.

Ordering Cookies

Will you deliver my cookies to me?

Cookies will be available for PICKUP at two locations in the Denver metro area and one location in Colorado Springs on Thursday, November 19, ONLY. Click here for a full list of pickup locations and times.

When is the last day I can order cookies?

November 16, 2020, is the final day to order cookies online.

Rather than order a box of cookies, I want to make a gift to Project Angel Heart. Can I do this online?

You can! Click on the Donate button at the top of the page. Each donation of $30 will provide more than three medically tailored meals to a Coloradan living with a life-threatening illness.

Is it possible to have my cookies sent out of town?

We are not able to ship cookies at this time. Your cookies are available only at the specified pickup locations in the Denver metro area and Colorado Springs only. If you're unable to pick up cookies at one of the specified locations, consider making a donation to help us provide meals for people who need them to improve their health and quality of life.

Are cookie purchases tax-deductible?

Yes! Of each set of three cookies purchased, $25 is tax-deductible.

If I can't make it to a pickup location, what should I do?

If you can't pick up your cookies from your selected pickup location on November 19, you may have a friend pick them up. You may also be able to pick up cookies at Project Angel Heart's Denver office on Friday, November 20. Please email us at pieinthesky@projectangelheart.org to make arrangements. Any cookies not picked up by noon on November 20 will be donated to feed the homeless and hungry.

Do you sell cookies for those with special dietary needs (kosher, vegan, gluten-free)?

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide specialized cookies at this time.

Can I buy a box of cookies and donate it to a Project Angel Heart client?

No, but you can make a donation to help us provide our nutritious meals, soups, fruit, milk, and other food items for one of our clients!
