About Cookie in the Sky

Cookie Facts

Cookies in the Sky | Cookies and Coffee | Project Angel HearDuring the Thanksgiving season, helping neighbors in need is easy as…well, it used to be pie! This year, the coronavirus has made it nearly impossible to source fresh-baked Pie in the Sky pies, as we have done for more than a decade. So, we're taking a detour this year and introducing Pie Cookie in the Sky!

We promise it will still be a fun, easy way to give back during the holiday season. Volunteer cookie fundraisers and teams raise funds by taking cookie orders and donations from friends, family, and coworkers. The cookies are then available for pickup the Thursday before Thanksgiving.

Each $30 box of three cookies sold allows Project Angel Heart to prepare and deliver more than three medically tailored meals, free of charge, for someone living with cancer, HIV/AIDS, kidney disease, or another life-threatening illness.

Cookie Packaging & Pickup

Our cookies are packaged in sturdy, gift-quality boxes with a label indicating that the cookie purchase supports Project Angel Heart. They will stay fresh on your counter or in your refrigerator for one week. When ordering cookies, you'll be asked to select a pickup location in the Denver metro area (two choices) or Colorado Springs (one choice). This is different from years past. Your cookies will be available at this location, and ONLY this location, on Thursday, November 19, at the times indicated on our website and in your reminder email.

Are Cookies Tax-Deductible?

The fair market value for each box of three cookies is $5, so $25 of your purchase may be tax-deductible (please consult your tax advisor). Other donations to Project Angel Heart are 100 percent tax-deductible. A receipt for tax purposes will be emailed to you after your purchase.
